Bigger Faster Stronger and Summer Training & Conditioning

We are excited to get underway in our preparation for next year's season and it officially begins with the kick-off of our off-season training program (BFS - Bigger Faster Stronger) followed by Summer Conditioning and Training!

Current BFS Schedule:

  • Jan 31 - June 17: Mon-Fri in the MIHS weight room from 6-7am (7:30am on Wednesdays)

Spring Football (Incoming 9th-12th grade):

  • Meeting Monday, May 23 (4-5pm)
  • May 31st - June 30th @ MIHS LPR/Fields
  • Islander Conditioning Camp: August 8-16, times tbd

Incoming 9th graders and new to MIHS athletes DO NOT need to submit a sports packet prior to Fall Sports. They DO need to:

  • Bring a completed ER Card to one of the Head Coach prior to participation (if they haven't already done so). Emergency Contact Card

ATHLETICS DEPT NOTE:

For Fall Sports Registration: Each school year, it is required that a new sports eligibility packet be completed. The only item that carries over is the sports physical signed by a physician (they are good for 2 years from the date of the exam).

*BFS, Summer Training, and Conditioning are optional opportunities for involvement and improvement, and are open to all MI Student-Athletes in 8th-12th grade! Times are subject to change.
 
Payments:
Pay via credit card or bank account using the BFS Summer Training and Conditioning registrations (above). Coaches will not take cash from players. If you prefer, you can write a check and mail it to:

MIHS Athletics DEPT REQUIREMENTS for BFS AND Summer ACTIVITIES:

 
  • If you played a sport during the 2021-2022 school year, this packet should already be on file in the Athletics Office and will be valid through the end of the school year.
  • If you are an incoming 9th grader, you DO NOT need to submit a packet, they just need to bring the ER Card and give it to coach. Emergency Contact Card
