MIHS Football Update, Hibernate Fundraiser, Training Opportunities

Hello Islander Families!

 

Per the recent message from Principal Walter Kelly (see here), we are finally in a position to start doing modified training as early as November 4th. While Gov. Inslee's recent changes to the guidelines concerning safe "return to play" have definitely opened the door, this is also the product of many months of active engagement, planning and communication by Kyle McKenna, Nick Wold, our coaches, our principal and school district, our MIFBC board and many others working behind the scenes. We are grateful for all of the time and energy that has been invested in order to create the opportunity for our kids to safely return to activity during this very challenging time.

 

Here's what you need to know:

 

  • ALL players who choose to participate must be registered and cleared through the MIHS Athletics Office.
  • Parents/Guardians must submit a signed COVID waiver to the MIHS Athletics Office in order to participate.
  • An attestation of health will need to be submitted by 2pm on the day of practice in order to participate. More information on this process will be communicated by the school through Schoology. We will update you as soon as possible.

1. Click Login and Register your child as a New Participant (use a parent email and phone) or use your phone's camera to scan the QR code provided on the flier.

2. Set up your User Name and Password

TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES

DQ & CT's Gridiron Training!

 

SCHEDULE:

Current session runs through November 19th. Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4-6pm, Saturdays from 9-11am

 

COST:

$45 per session. Payable in advance via cash or Venmo: @DQ_Evans

LOCATION:

Island Crest Park. Bring mask, gloves (for skill guys), hand sanitizer, lots of water and cleats. Find a white cone to set your stuff down. Please wear your mask to the field! Return to Play guidelines are mandatory!
